The students of grades 3,4,5 were guided to lead a healthy life by adopting good eating habits. The importance of having balanced diet and benefits of essential nutrients were well explained. Students were asked to consume lot of millets as they contain uniquely rich nutrients which protect the heart, strengthens the digestive system, prevents diabetes, boosts immunity power and improve nerve and muscle health. Students were motivated to have seasonal fruits daily, drink adequate amount of water, exercise regularly and follow yoga practices to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. They were explained the harmful effects of junk food and positive impact of healthy food. Students learnt that these tips should be implemented upon from an early age. They understood the importance of hygiene too.
