St. Kabir School, Naranpura, celebrated Independence Day 2024with great pride, marking the 78th anniversary of India’s independence. This year’s celebration paid tribute to the sacrifices of the past and reflected on how education has been central to India’s transformation from a colonised nation to a global powerhouse.

The Independence Day celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the national anthem and cultural performances that honoured India’s rich heritage. The highlight of the event was the address to students and staff by the Principal, Ms Vaishali Dhruva,  mentioning, “Independence Day is not just a day of celebration; it is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our ancestors and the responsibilities we hold as the future of this great nation. At St. Kabir, we strive to instil in our students the values of freedom, resilience, and excellence, ensuring that they grow into leaders who will continue to uphold and advance the ideals of our nation.” She also discussed the theme of this year’s celebration, ‘Viksit Bharat’ or Developed India which symbolises the vision of a developed nation by 2047 and reflects the government’s commitment to transform India.

Such event celebration beautifully reflected the deep connection and commitment of the participants to the core values that define the nation.
