The Gandhi Jayanti celebration at St. Kabir School, Naranpura, was marked by deep reflection on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi. Students delivered inspiring speeches, highlighting the principles Gandhi stood for, such as non-violence, truth, and simplicity, and how these continue to influence modern society. In a special addition to the event, students from Gujarat Vidyapith, both graduates and postgraduates, were invited to participate. They conducted a session on the ongoing cleanliness drive, encouraging everyone to embrace cleanliness in their daily lives. Following their talk, they engaged the students in an activity promoting the importance of hygiene and environmental care.

The iconic hymn “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” filled the air, invoking a sense of peace and reverence for the Father of the Nation. A nukkad natak (street play) on cleanliness was also performed, emphasizing the role of youth in building a cleaner India. The students from Gujarat Vidyapith further spoke about Gandhi’s eleven vows (vrats) and their relevance in today’s world. They connected Gandhian principles to the students’ lives, emphasizing how values like non-possession, fearlessness, and equality can be incorporated into daily practices to lead a meaningful and conscientious life. The event was a powerful reminder of Gandhi’s enduring legacy and its relevance in shaping the future generation.
