They say we live in world of autonomy,
But do we really?
When the women of our country are shedding tears of blood;
They say we live in a world of freedom,
But do we really?
When the women around us are like birds trapped in a gate of fate,
Asking are we next?
Through a text!
These are the times we should be teaching girls how to become a scout,
But instead we are forced to teach them how to shout.
They say women are independent,
But are they really?
Being forced to be dependent on creatures like some men;
They say girls aren’t toys,
But are they really something else to ‘those’ boys?
So it’s time we start asking are we really living in a world of liberty.
Rather than saying “We are”.
