St. Kabir School, Naranpura, celebrated the divine festival of Janmashtami with immense devotion, joy, and enthusiasm, remembering the auspicious birth of Lord Krishna. The entire atmosphere of the school was filled with festive spirit, chants, and the fragrance of tradition. The celebration began with a soulful enactment by the students, beautifully portraying the story of Lord Krishna’s birth. The children, dressed in vibrant costumes, brought alive the essence of Vrindavan and Gokul through their graceful acting and expressions. Adding a refreshing modern touch, a rap performance on a Krishna bhajan not only entertained but also filled the audience with spiritual energy in a unique way.
The stage further came alive with energetic dance performances, where students showcased their devotion through rhythmic steps and colorful formations, spreading joy and excitement among all present. The Pre-Primary students also joined in the festivities, making the celebration even more delightful. With their innocent charm, they performed aarti, sweet little enactments of Krishna’s childhood stories, and joyful dance performances, winning the hearts of teachers, parents, and fellow students alike. Their enthusiasm and innocence brought a divine glow to the entire program.
The highlight of the celebration was the much-awaited Matki Fod event. The atmosphere turned electric as students formed human pyramids, cheered on by their friends and teachers. With loud chants of “Govinda Ala Re!” the matki was finally broken, showering the air with excitement, laughter, and festive cheer. The Janmashtami celebration at St. Kabir was a beautiful blend of devotion, creativity, tradition, and togetherness. It not only helped students connect with their cultural roots but also left everyone with cherished memories, festive joy, and a reminder of Lord Krishna’s message of love, faith, and righteousness.
