Today, on 21st June 2023, St. Kabir School (Naranpura) celebrated 9th International Yoga Day.

This day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual power that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system.

Students learnt different types of pranayama & asana under the guidance of yoga Trainers from Gujarat Rajya Yog Board- Raksha Suthar, Viral Shah and Vijay Prajapati. Starting with Aum chanting to relax their body. Students did asana like Tadasan to increase height, Sasangasan for concentration, Kapalbharti for stress and anger management and to cure migraine. Anulom- Vilom and Bramhari pranayama to increase their focus. Along with the students, respected Assistant Director of the school Rashmi Ma’am, Principal Vaishali ma’am and teachers participated in this session.

Importance of Yoga in our daily life was discussed with students to motivate them to make it a daily practice.
