On 16th August 2024, the students of Standard 6 embarked on an exciting educational trip to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), offering them a unique opportunity to dive into the world of space science and technology. The trip was designed to provide a hands-on learning experience about satellite launches and new technologies in space exploration.

During the first session, the students were introduced to India’s navigation system, NAVIK, where they learned how the system supports various sectors like transportation and defense. They also explored the strategic launch locations across the country, gaining insight into how these sites are selected for optimal satellite deployment.

In the second session, the students got a detailed look into the anatomy of a satellite. They studied the different parts of a satellite, understanding how each component plays a crucial role in its functioning. This session demystified the technology behind satellites and their impact on communication, weather forecasting, and scientific research.

Overall, the trip was an enriching experience, broadening the students’ knowledge of space science, and leaving them inspired to explore future careers in the field of space exploration and technology.
